South nest -a hooded merganser continues to visit the South nest every other day, each time staying an hour or so. That’s long enough to add another egg and I think there are 6 now. A wood duck has also been in this nest for only a few minutes, several times in the past week.
East nest – A wood duck has visited regularly and as of yesterday there were 5 eggs. A hooded merganser also has laid an egg here. I doubt it’s from the one using the south nest, probably another.
West nest – So far only very brief visits a few times from wood ducks, just checking it out. It’s interesting how one season differs from the others. In past years this nest box has attracted ducks before the East nest.

The East nest yesterday. 5 wood duck eggs and the one hooded merganser egg: larger and whiter.
Fantastic to see the eggs again. Love this report.
